Officials are investigating the cause of the fire that burned Saturday in a Topeka Walmart.

TOPEKA, Kan. — Firefighters in Kansas responded to reports of a fire at Walmart and found a man on fire, officials said.

The Topeka Fire Department received a call about a bathroom fire at Walmart Neighborhood Market in Topeka just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, according to a Topeka city spokesperson.

Firefighters arrived and found a man on fire in the bathroom, officials said. The firefighters extinguished the blaze.

The man was taken to a hospital “with serious injuries,” Topeka officials said. No other injuries have been reported.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire and did not release the man’s name.
