CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — A Clarksville volunteer firefighter hit the road last week for the opportunity to share her fire safety mission while taping a spot on a TV series that is partially based at a Chicago firehouse that she and a loyal companion regularly visit.
Trips to Chicago for Dayna Hilton, 52, of Johnson County Rural Fire District No. 1 normally include a visit to Chicago Fire Department Engine 18, where she and 3-year-old Molly the Fire Safety Dog have spent time filming an online fire-safety show for children.
Hilton said her trip last week brought a new opportunity for her to share her nonprofit’s vision when she appeared on set as a customer in a fictional bar on NBC’s Chicago Fire during filming of the show Thursday afternoon.
