DALLAS — A firefighter died suddenly Wednesday after falling ill while exercising at home several hours after coming off shift.
WFAA.com reported Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighter Marco Davila had been with the department for 20 years. Davila succumbed at the hospital several hours later from a nature and cause of fatal injury still to be determined.
The Dallas Hispanic Firefighters Association and the Lt. Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation have created a fundraising page to help Davila’s family pay for funeral expenses.
Davila leaves behind his wife, Denise, and two children, Mariah and Marc.
