MIAMI — A car caught fire late Friday night at PortMiami, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue .
Around 11:40 p.m. , more than eight fire units responded to reports of a blaze at a cargo yard in Miami’s port. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a car engulfed in flames inside a shipping container.
Videos posted to the social media platform X, show heavy dark smoke wafting over PortMiami. Numerous people reported online that they heard the sound of an explosion.

Crews acted swiftly to extinguish the fire, MDFR said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
