SAUGUS, Mass. — Multiple people had to be pulled from a building after several cars crashed into a vacant Boston Market on Route 1 in Saugus Monday night, according to Saugus Firefighters Local 1003.
The crash was reported on the northbound side of Route 1 shortly after 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 27, WCVB said citing Saugus police.
Photos posted by Saugus Firefighters Local 1003 on Facebook showed at least two cars with extensive damage wedged into the building. The union said the vehicles and passengers had to be pulled from the structure.

A 62-year-old man was said to be inside a Volvo SUV while a sedan was unoccupied, according to WCVB. At least one person was brought to the hospital, Boston25 reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
