An FDNY engine was involved in a serious accident Sunday night that resulted in the apparatus crashing into a building.

Engine 254 was en route to a dispatch for a house fire when it collided with a Mercedes, sending the engine off the road and into a clothing store at the intersection of Avenue U and East 4th Street in Brooklyn.

Five firefighters and the driver of the Mercedes were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries, according to NBC New York. All are expected to be OK, officials shared.
