Calling all fire photographers: FireRescue1 wants to see your pictures! The next time you come across something inspiring, take out the camera and submit it to FireRescue1! Just remember to include your name, agency information and brief background information on the picture.

This week’s Photo of the Week comes from the Denver Fire Department, which has dozens of members deployed to wildfires across multiple states, including 28 members battling the Cameron Peak Fire in their home state of Colorado. The Cameron Peak Fire became the largest fire in state history this week, growing to 256 square miles, or more than 163,000 acres, surpassing the Pine Gulch Fire which set the previous record just seven weeks ago, on Aug. 27.

The Denver Fire Department also has members battling the August Complex in California, the Mullen Fire and Middle Fork Fires in Wyoming and the Williams Fork Fire in Colorado.
