BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge fire crew is being praised for their quick thinking and actions that saved a woman trapped in a car as it was being carried away by flood waters. The firefighters rushed to smash open the window of the vehicle to pull her out before it got swept away, WBRZ 2 reports.

Once out of the car, the rescue crew – Baton Rouge Fire Department Capt. Troy Pate, Fire Equipment Operator Jerome Courville, Firefighter Aaron Samson, and Firefighter Thang Nguyen – pulled her to safety.
