Social media behaviors continue to create trouble for many in public service. And with a new platform seeming to emerge every week, the opportunity for trouble is only expanding.

While it’s easy to assume we are responsible social media users if we are chatting in private groups or merely “liking” others’ posts, there are many factors to consider, particularly department policy, online best practices, and the possibility of personal opinions eroding community trust.
