SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio firefighters who were treating a patient for a gunshot wound who showed up at Fire Station 10 early Thursday were afraid that they were also being targeted by a shooter, KSAT reported.
Firefighters called police around 4 a.m. to report the gunshot wound victim. Then they heard gunshots.
Police told the news outlet that they found shell casings and blood behind a store across the street from the station, and that’s where the victim told them he was when he was shot.
The man was hit multiple times and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Police officers said the shooting may be linked to a drug deal, and the matter is under investigation.
