LOVELAND, Colo. — Science to the Station 2025 opened its proposal submission period on Tuesday.
The event, which is taking place in Loveland, Colorado, Nov. 3-5, seeks to bridge the gap between first responders and research scientists, providing fire service leaders with tools to implement best practices backed by science at their fire departments.
The call for proposals states, “If you’re a scientist, fire/EMS professional, or industry expert with research or practical insights to share, this is your chance to contribute!”
The Science to the Station team is seeking proposals for the following:
- FRED Talks (like TED Talks but for firefighters): Highlight your ongoing research (12 minutes).
- Putting Science into Practice: Pairs a researcher and a fire service professional to address how science was used to drive practice within the organization (45 minutes).
Submit a proposal here. The submission deadline is Feb. 21, 2025.
Science to the Station is operated by the Science Alliance, a group that, according to its website, seeks to “foster collaboration and communication between subject matter experts and frontline public safety personnel to translate and disseminate evidence-informed health, wellness, and safety education and interventions.”
