YORK, Pa. — At least three firefighters were injured after a wall collapsed at a former historic building Thursday afternoon.
York Dispatch reported that a wall on the south side of the former Weaver Piano & Organ Co. building collapsed as firefighters were still inside. A 3-alarm fire partially destroyed the building a day before as it was in the process of being remodeled.
York County 911 dispatchers said that a mayday call went out after 3 p.m. with firefighters trapped in the building.
Local fire and EMS agencies are still on scene. The firefighters were taken away in ambulances after the incident.
