FORT WORTH, Texas — Three Fort Worth firefighters were injured Monday while attempting to extinguish a blaze in the 1200 block of East Cannon Street, according to MedStar.

One of the firefighters is in serious condition.

A spokesperson for MedStar told the Star-Telegram the two other firefighters sustained minor injuries.

A fire department spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for information. One social media account that posts scanner traffic wrote that at least one firefighter fell through a roof.

Fire crews were dispatched to the fire just before 6 p.m. Monday, according to fire department records. The department dispatched 18 units, including five engines and one medic unit to treat firefighter burns.

The neighborhood is in southeast Fort Worth.
