In today’s rapidly evolving emergency services landscape, EMS and fire organizations must adapt to the current staffing challenges while leading a diverse, multi-generational workforce. Whether full-time or volunteer, leaders are tasked with managing teams that span generations, each with its own dynamics, insights and expectations.

Leaders today face a new culture of responder and recruitment challenges, and to effectively communicate and lead across this shifting environment, strong leadership and collaboration are essential to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Drawing on 31 years of experience in Fire/EMS and 27 years of leadership across multiple branches of the military, Brad Eckhart offers valuable insights to help leaders navigate the complexities of this evolving challenge.

You will learn:

  • The traits and generational identities of today’s responders in order to better understand your team.
  • Strategies for effective communication for more awareness into who you are leading.
  • The ways in which you are perceived and how they can lead to more effective communication.
  • How to become a 360-degree mentor by using the foundation of generational knowledge and situational leadership as the keys to an effective response.
  • Insight into cultivating an environment people do not want to leave.
