SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Springfield Township Board of Trustees voted unanimously to fire two paramedics who incorrectly declared a woman dead in January.

The two paramedics, the fire chief and the assistant fire chief were placed on administrative leave after the incident, WTVG reported.

The paramedics who were fired are Aiden Yoon and William Fordyce.

The investigation, which included a review of police body-worn camera footage, concluded that both paramedics failed to follow basic procedures before declaring the patient dead.
