LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County firefighters dragged a fellow firefighter out of a burning building where a person was found dead early Thursday morning, KTLA reported.
“It’s something that we constantly train on … The firefighter was disciplined enough to go through the firefighter emergencies … and because of that training, that discipline, they were able to get the firefighter out in a quick amount of time,” Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain Chiyoshi Hasegawa said.
The crewmember was transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
“I know that the firefighter is talking … as far as the extent of his injuries, I’m not sure,” Hasegawa told the news outlet.
