CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. — A Virginia firefighter was injured battling a mobile home blaze early Tuesday morning.
First crews arrived at the scene to find the trailer fully involved in flames, according to Montgomery County Emergency Services. There were initial reports of someone trapped inside the mobile home, but all occupants were later accounted for unharmed.
The Christiansburg Volunteer Fire Department, Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department, Christiansburg Rescue and Montgomery County Emergency Services responded to the blaze. The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes. One firefighter was injured during the incident and treated at the scene.
The home was deemed a total loss and the Red Cross is assisting residents.
