BRONX, N.Y. — Eight FDNY firefighters are recovering from injuries after responding to a massive fire Tuesday afternoon.
Bronx News 12 reported three apartments in a residential building were destroyed and another 20 received smoke and water damage, but no civilian injuries were reported in the three-alarm blaze.
Deputy Assistant Chief Kevin Brennan said eight firefighters total were transported to the hospital, two with minor burns and six more with injuries related to heat exhaustion. They are all in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
