CHICAGO — Two officers with the Chicago Police Department and a 75-year-old woman were injured during a house fire.
The fire happened at a house on Wednesday around 1:15 a.m., ABC7 reports.
Police said the officers were injured when the porch of the house collapsed.
The Chicago Fire Department said the 75-year-old woman who lived at the house, along with the two officers, were transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The fire department said heavy equipment arrived at the scene to open the house to search following reports of a male who might still have been inside the house.
