Texas fire engine struck, smashes into apartment complex

A San Antonio crew was responding to a call when the crash happened

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A fire engine was struck by a vehicle and crashed into an apartment building Tuesday night, NBC DFW reported.

San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood said that the crew was responding to a call when a speeding vehicle struck.

The engine wiped out a staircase leading to the complex’s second floor.

In spite of the damage to eight apartments, no people were hurt.

In a Facebook post, the department said, “our job is dangerous enough, and unfortunately we are struck regularly.”
