WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio — Members of the Jefferson Township Fire Department are mourning the loss of firefighter Tommy Rees, 38, of West Jefferson, who died unexpectedly Tuesday while sleeping at the firehouse, WBNS reported.
A fire department spokesperson said that Reese experienced a cardiac episode while sleeping, but an official cause of death has not been determined.
Rees served with the department for more than six years.
He is survived by his wife and four children.
