CHICAGO — Five Chicago firefighters were injured after a collision with a car caused their fire engine to overturn.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:25 p.m. on July 11 at the intersection of East 79th Street and King Drive, Fox 32 reported.
Police reported that a car ran a red light at the intersection and struck the fire engine causing it to overturn.
Five firefighters and the driver of the car were transported to area hospitals. All were in good condition, WLS reported.
The driver of the car is being cited for the crash.
