CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A tractor-trailer crashed into three fire apparatus that were staged along the interstate as firefighters worked to put out a fire.
WSOCTV.com reported that firefighters were putting out flames at a tractor-trailer fire when another tractor-trailer hit one of the fire struck and pushed it into the other two.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was injured, but the fire crews were unharmed, protected by the fire apparatus, according to officials.
Other departments will work with Millers Ferry Fire Department while their trucks are out of service due to damage.
