SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department is investigating after one of its fire trucks rolled down the street with no one inside, striking a car and telephone pole before crashing into a house.
The fire truck was parked near San Antonio Fire Station 5 on Sunday when it began to roll, prompting firefighters to pursue it as it traveled an entire block, according to KSAT.
The apparatus hit a car and telephone pole without stopping, finally coming to a rest after going through a fence and striking a house at the corner of an intersection.
Fire department officials are working to determine what caused the parked truck to roll away. No injuries were reported in the incident.
