MILFORD, Mass. — Two Massachusetts fire trucks are out of service after being involved in a collision while responding to an alarm.
Milford Fire Department Engine 4 and Ladder 1 had just pulled out of their Birch Street firehouse to respond to a smoke investigation when they were struck by a FedEx truck, Milford Daily News reported.
“It’s tough to tell how damaged the vehicles are,” Fire Chief Mark Nelson said. “Both of our vehicles will be out of service.”
No one was injured in the crash. The Milford Police Department is investigating the cause of the collision.
Nelson said the fire department will be using a reserve engine to replace Engine 4 and will rely on mutual aid for a ladder truck.
