If you could design your station’s living quarters all over again, would you make some changes? Most likely, the answer is yes. Maybe a new coffee maker, a larger TV or the best grill ever. Most of us have all kinds of ideas, but our bucket list is usually much longer than the budget allows. But, occasionally, it’s fun to dream, and you never know – the perfect product could go on sale for Prime Day, making that dream a reality!

Here are several products for the ultimate fire station day room that I hope go on sale for Prime Day. Check out this list and consider how you would upgrade your space. What would you add to the list?

1. Amazon 75-inch Omni Series 4K UHD Smart TV

Your TV is probably the focus of your day room at the station. Maybe it needs an upgrade! The good news is that flat-screen TVs have dropped in price so much over the past few years that you can buy a lot of TVs for a reasonable price. This 70” Amazon Smart TV is a perfect example. It features Dolby Vision and 4K resolution, which means shades of color that you don’t normally see will make your “training” videos pop. In addition, it’s a smart TV with Alexa, so when the shift before you loses the remote again, you can use voice control to save the day!

2. 6-Person Indoor/Outdoor Table

Creating a table for your station with the department logo is a cool project to build agency pride –and it’s easy! Get a logo made by the department’s vehicle graphics vendor, and then apply it to the center of the table. Coat the table with a clear polyurethane finish, and you have a custom table to enjoy for years to come. This table is the perfect one to start with. It has a solid wood top that’s just over 2 inches thick with steel legs. It’s probably almost fire station proof, and with the addition of the logo, it will look like you and your buddies built it!

3. Leather Recliner

There is no denying that even a station with a slow call volume can have that one busy day or night. You need a place to recharge between calls, so make sure a new recliner is on the wish list. This leather recliner has the benefit of a powered recline motor, and it can lay flat for sleeping. I know a lot of people who spend a lot of time sleeping in recliners at night, so make sure you have a chair that’s made for it. In addition, this model features cup holders and a table for writing up calls and doing work, of course. It also has USB ports for charging phones, tablets, etc.

4. DeLonghi Espresso/Coffee Maker Combo

This coffee maker can be the best of both worlds: It can brew normal drip coffee but also pull espresso shots for the coffee connoisseur on your shift. Instead of listening to members complain about the fire station coffee, buy them this coffee machine and have them cranking out lattes and other delicious brews for the rest of your station crew. It can even be justified by saving trips to the coffee shop with your apparatus! Fun fact: This device can brew drip coffee and espresso at the same time. The touchscreen can adjust brew settings and has a timer to make sure your coffee is ready when you are!

5. Roomba Robot Floor Cleaner

We all know that most of the time, daily duties involve sweeping and vacuuming floors at our stations. What if we had an entertaining little robot to do it for us? The iRobot Roomba Combo can map your living quarters, mop the bathrooms and empty itself! It even has detection technology, so while driving around, it knows what to look for. Think of all of the training you could get done if you didn’t have to clean the floors. Sounds like an easy sell for administration to me.

6. Blackstone Grill 36-inch 4 Burner Flat-Top Grill

If you grill regularly at the station – or want to do more grilling – then this flat top could be an awesome upgrade. The nice thing about a flat-top grill is that in addition to cooking meat like your current grill, it can make pizzas and breakfast items too. It’s basically the Swiss army knife of cooking tools. This model has four burners to let you adjust your cooking temps and have multiple cooking zones. It also has three shelves to hold ingredients or utensils and a trash bag.
