Safety cushions are a reliable solution for rescuing trapped persons from hard-to-reach locations
INDIANAPOLIS — Vetter, a trusted brand of IDEX Fire & Safety, has expanded its product portfolio for the North American market to include Vetter Safety Cushions. Vetter Safety Cushions serve first responders aiding trapped persons in difficult-to-access heights or needing additional safeguarding during rescue by ladder.
“With the Vetter safety cushion, teams are always optimally equipped, even in strenuous situations,” said Maria Hovanes, director of North American Loose Equipment & Tools for IDEX Fire & Safety. “Only with a certified safety cushion can first responders protect themselves and the patient from preventable injuries.
“Giving reliable solutions for the rescue market is something Vetter takes pride in,” Hovanes said.
Vetter safety cushions are made with neon yellow side walls, ensuring that the cushion can be seen in environments where visibility is poor such as during harsh weather conditions or at night. Designed with a blue circle in the center as a guide for landing, Vetter safety cushions can reduce fear. The blue circle is psychologically optimized and was developed by Vetter in collaboration with psychologist Professor Horst Schuh.
Vetter safety cushions are available in three sizes, SP 16 for heights up to 51.2 feet (16 meters / 5 floors), SP 25 for heights up to 80 feet (25 meters / 8 floors) and SP 60 for heights up to 192 feet (58 meters / 20 floors). With fast inflation and recovery times, these safety cushions are easy to carry and fast to set up, ensuring first responders can assess emergency situations quickly and safely.
“Since its founding in 1964, Vetter has shown dedication and passion to provide the rescue market with tools and techniques proven to keep people safe,” Hovanes said. “Now, with the availability of products including the safety cushion in North America, Vetter continues to push their rescue solutions to new global heights.”
