Finally - A front holder that can stand up to the challenges of firefighting - and looks great too! Ultimate Front Holders, by Fire Fronts LLC, are made from lightweight, aircraft-grade T-6 billet aluminum, making them stronger than the “standard issue” front holders, which tend to bend and/or break when subjected to the everyday rigors of the job.
Fire Fronts LLC, is owned and operated by Sun City West, Arizona firefighter/paramedic Rick Westerman, who says he was inspired by the need for a sturdy piece of “equipment” that would help prevent his leather shield from becoming misshapen. More importantly, he wanted to design a front holder that would reduce the chance of entanglement during a fire. Westerman was involved in a situation where his previous “standard issue” front holder had become bent, causing a gap between the shield and the front of the helmet. While fighting a structure fire an exposed wire, hanging from the ceiling, was able to slip under the front holder and behind the shield, thus trapping him. Fortunately he was able to use wire cutters to free himself, but the incident was reason enough to create something better.
In addition to being strong, Ultimate Front Holders offer firefighters a choice – colors and designs – styles never before offered. They are fully anodized, and available in black, red, gold or a polished-mirrored finish. Precision, computer-guided laser engraving means the designs won’t burn off.
