The Hamlin (N.Y.) Fire Department has taken delivery of an E-One C550 rescue pumper. Built on a 4 x 2 chassis and powered by a 400-hp Cummins diesel engine coupled with an Allison transmission, the apparatus features electronic pump governor controls with seven pre-connected attack lines and a remote-controlled deck gun fed by a 2,000-gpm Hale pump. The 1,000-gallon water tank (50-gallon foam) has a direct-injection foam system. The hosebed carries 1,600 feet of 5" supply line and 66 feet of ground ladders. The apparatus also features 50 feet of hard-suction hose for drafting operations and a Federal LED light system.
