STOCKTON, Calif. — A passenger in an SUV that collided with a Stockton Fire Truck has died of his injuries, officials on the scene said this morning.
Three firefighters in the Stockton fire truck were injured in the collision at Filbert and Myrtle streets that caused major damage to the SUV and turned the fire truck on its side.
All of the firefighters were conscious and alert, authorities said.
Police are still blocking traffic in the area, including ramps to and from Highway 4.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and to use alternate routes, if possible.
