1. Where did your company name originate from?
Blanton & Company began as an OEM manufacturer of hydraulic pumps. Entry into the rescue world came by way of one of our early customers, with Blanton’s design of the first true two-tool simultaneous operation pump. Owner and President Tom Blanton noted a lack of customer service in the rescue tool market, creating the initial vision of what would become TNT Rescue Systems, Inc.
2. What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
TNT Rescue Systems’ vision to design, build and distribute high quality hydraulic rescue tools, provide a lifetime warranty, and support the customer with the highest level of service. This dedication to customer service is shown every day by every employee and distributor of TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. organization
3. What is your signature product and how does it work?
Our signature product line is currently our STORM 2 dual battery-operated hydraulic rescue tools (Cutter, Spreader, Combination, and a Ram.) The STORM 2 tools manufactured by TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. are the only tools worldwide that have the option of using one or two batteries. This is done by using two 28V Milwaukee lithium-ion batteries, which are mounted on either side of the rescue tools’ body, giving the user the option to use one or two batteries if needed. The configuration also allows the operator to use the tool for an extended period of time with the addition of a second battery. STORM 2 products, like all TNT Rescue System, Inc. products, come with a Forever Warranty and are manufactured in the USA.
4. Why do you believe your products are essential to your vertical (Police, Fire, EMS, Corrections, Government) community?
I believe our products are essential in the police, fire, EMS, corrections and government community because TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. believes in providing a rescue tool to our first responders that is American made and manufactured at the highest level. Overall, we know that we are sending a reliable product out that will get the job done.
5. What has been the biggest challenge your company has faced?
The biggest challenge was designing and manufacturing battery-operated tools to accommodate the industry. We have performed multiple tests and tried different ideas – which has taken a lot of time, effort and money – but we were able to conquer all of the issues and produce a product we are proud to say is manufactured at TNT Rescue Systems, Inc.
6. What makes your company unique?
Our company is unique in the fact that we are a family run business and we are an American-made rescue tool company offering a Forever Warranty, making us the only manufacture of rescue tools in the industry to have this recognition.
7. What do your customers like best about you and your products?
Customers like that our products are American made, and the fact that we provide great customer service, affordable tools and that our tools are known to be the best on the market with the ability to out-perform most other tools.
8. What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder/local government community?
Knowing that when we build the tools and they leave the factory, each tool has been treated with precision engineering and assembly by our dedicated team at TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. It’s also rewarding to know that, at some point, these tools will be used to save lives and play an important role and function in the first responder and local government community.
9. Do you support any charitable organizations within public safety/community? Tell us more.
TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. is constantly supporting local fire department events in the community, through either donating money or rescue tools to help out with the cause.
10. Is there any fun fact or trivia that you’d like to share with our users about you or your company?
Formerly Blanton & Company prior to the transition to TNT Rescue Systems, Inc., we were the first manufacturer to design a true two-tool simultaneous pump for AMKUS.
11. What’s next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. is always working on new projects to keep up with the change in the vehicle industry and the world of rescue. With that being said, extensive research, development and testing has to be done before we can release any product and news to the outside world. Our main focus and mission is to keep providing quality rescue tools to our customers and maintaining exceptional customer service.
