Calling all fire photographers: FireRescue1 wants to see your pictures! The next time you come across something inspiring, take out the camera and submit it to FireRescue1! Just remember to include your name, agency information and brief background information on the picture.
This week’s Photo of the Week is actually two photos, showing the two fire department winners of the North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors (NAUMD) 2020 Best Dressed Public Safety Award.
The Sarasota County (Fla.) Fire Department was named the best-dressed fire department with more than 500 members, with their 100% wool fabric Honor Guard uniforms supplied by NAFECO.
The Yocha Dehe (Calif.) Fire Department took home the award in the category for fire departments with less than 100 members, with its nine types of uniform supplied by Galls.
“It took time to create this award-winning look. Yocha Dehe Fire Department consulted with other departments, researched fabric options and consulted with suppliers for over a year before reaching a decision which they believe strikes the perfect balance between appearance and functionality,” according to NAUMD.
