Hale Launches SafeBuy™ Upgrades and Showcases New Displays and Portable Pumps at FDIC 2011

Safe Firefighter of the Year Award Winner to be Honored March 25 at Booth 1823

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — As part of its continuing mission to keep the safest and most technologically advanced equipment in the hands of U.S. firefighters, Hale will unveil upgrades to the SafeBuy™ suppression agent delivery system, as well as new displays and portable pumps, at FDIC 2011 (Booth 1823).

Since its launch in 2010, the SafeBuy system has received functional and aesthetic upgrades. These include new bezels for the pump panel. The bezels are available in chrome and black, and they are also available powder coated in various colors to help identify different gauges. All color label inserts conform to NFPA 1901 color standards.

Hale will unveil its anodized, HP series portable pumps at FDIC. These pumps are proven to operate in brackish and salt-water environments. They feature a rotating discharge valve for quick and easy hose layout, and an exclusive band clamp design for quick and easy access for maintenance and repairs

The new Class 1 UltraView line of displays will also be exhibited at Hale’s booth. The displays feature a fully modular design that allows users to customize more than 100 parameters for electronic engine monitoring and diagnostics. The flexibility and reliability of the UltraView displays make them an ideal fit for Hale’s SafeBuy system.

Class 1’s new “classic” looking backlit, liquid-filled pressure gauges provide a brightly illuminated and clearly marked gauge for increased visibility under extreme fire incident conditions. The Class 1 rugged design allows for steady needle viewing under pulsation and vibration normally seen on fire apparatus

In addition to new firefighting equipment, Hale will present its award for Safe Firefighter of the Year at 11 a.m., March 25 at the booth. The award winner will be chosen from recipients of Hale’s Safe Firefighter of the Month program. The program recognizes firefighters who carry out the 16 Life Safety Initiatives outlined in the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s “Courage to Be Safe” campaign. An award of $5,000, a Hale HP75 portable pump and a VersaClimber cardiovascular exercise machine will be presented to this firefighter and his firehouse during the ceremony.
