PLEASANTON, Calif. — In honor of Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness month, in October, the PulsePoint Foundation will be holding a contest to encourage AED location identification and registration so these life-saving devices – once approved by public safety – can be disclosed to bystanders and 911 dispatchers during a cardiac emergency. You can register AEDs in your community through the PulsePoint AED app or online at AED.new, and they will be added to the free and globally accessible PulsePoint AED Registry, which currently includes more than 115,000 registered AEDs.

Each registration will also enter you to win one of 10 $500 Amazon gift cards. Collectively, the community that registers the most AEDs will be granted $5,000 worth of new AEDs to provide to public safety or place in underserved parts of the community.

PulsePoint has created a package of AED contest promotional resources, including social media posts, banners and videos; handouts; and a PulsePoint AED tutorial to help spread the word. AEDs must be registered between Oct. 1, 2021, and Oct. 31, 2021, to qualify.
