NEW YORK — Photo shows an aerial unit’s outrigger going straight through a NYPD car while firefighters respond to a fire.
Statter911 says that the FDNY Ladder 45 truck was responding to reports of people hanging and was using an aerial to retrieve them when apparently a NYPD car from the 33rd precinct may have been too close to the scene.
The photo does beg a few questions, such as how stable would the tower be with one of its outriggers planted in the back seat of a sedan? And, what would you give to be a fly on the wall when this incident is discussed at city hall?
