Off-duty Cleveland firefighter shot, killed in his driveway

CLEVELAND — Police are investigating a deadly shooting Sunday night involving an off-duty Cleveland fire lieutenant who was gunned down in his driveway.

Officers found firefighter William Walker, 45, with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, according to WCPO.com.

Police said firefighter Walker had parked his vehicle in his driveway and had begun walking to his house when he was shot, according to the report.

Paramedics transported firefighter Walker to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, according to the report.

City of Cleveland officials said firefighter Walker was a 15-year veteran of the City of Cleveland Division of Fire.

The shooter is still at large, according to the report.
