MANSFIELD, Mo. — A firefighter collapsed at a fire station and died over the weekend after his fellow brothers were unable to revive him.

According to a release from the fire chief, firefighter Cody died at the fire station after fellow firefighters were unable to revive him.

“Andy was always willing to drop whatever he was doing, day or night to help anyone in need. He was an excellent leader and always a great mentor to all,” Fire Chief Byron Clark said.

Funeral services for firefighter Cody will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Holman-Howe Chapel in Mansfield, Mo. A procession of fire and ambulance vehicles will provide an escort from the funeral home to Pleasant Hill Cemetery, according to the report.
