SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Several members of a volunteer firefighter department have been accused of boycotting shifts, and one has been accused of refusing to respond to a call in which a woman died, Fox 13 reported.

All of the North Summit Fire District members may be suspended by the administrative control board. The matter was discussed at a meeting Friday. A recording of the meeting is on YouTube.

Eight of the 25 members have been accused of participating in the alleged insubordination.

The Park City Fire District has been assisting the department with calls.

Park City Fire District Deputy Chief Pete Emery said in the meeting that his department could take over North Summit duties for 30-60 days through “automatic aid,” in which calls would go directly to PCFD.

Another special meeting is scheduled for Monday evening.
