PARMA, Ohio — Firefighters responded to a fire on the 6th floor of the Midtown Tower apartments on Sunday afternoon.
Upon arrival, heavy smoke was observed from the 6th floor. Assistance was made from several different departments. The fire was quickly contained by Parma Fire Department. Several occupants were rescued via ladders.
“It is only due to the aggressive tactics employed by Parma Fire personnel that prevented the rapid spread of this fire. We are fortunate to have an outstanding relationship with all of our mutual aid departments who were instrumental in the positive outcome of this tragedy, ” said Acting Fire Chief Michael Lasky.
