MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — An assistant fire chief died Tuesday after collapsing at his son’s baseball game.
KFOR reported that Midwest City Fire Department Assistant Chief Reece Morrison was at his son’s baseball game after working earlier in the day when he collapsed, according to officials.
Chief Morrison was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
The Oklahoma State Firefighters Association said a heart attack could be a possible cause of death, but it has not officially been determined.
Morrison was a member of the department for over 20 years.
“Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to Chief Morrison’s family, friends and the Midwest City Fire Department,” the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association said.
