A petition started on Change.org seeks to have a scene removed from the new horror film “Halloween Kills.”
The scene depicts the murder of firefighters responding to a house fire. According to the petition, the scene is offensive because the tactic has been used to cause harm to firefighters in real life: “It is wrong because firefighters have been lured to houses fire and murdered by the people who set the fire. And it’s wrong that Michael killed the firefighters with the gear from the other firefighters he killed. ... There is no reason for that horrible disgusting scene.”
The petition’s author said they were offended as “a soon to be firefighter” and child of two retired firefighters.
