CHICAGO — Five Chicago firefighters are among six people injured in a collision between a fire engine and a car on Feb. 10.
A witness described seeing the driver of a car trying to get through the intersection at 47th and State Streets as fire apparatus was responding to a call, WLS reported.
The car, a Chevy Impala, collided with Engine 50, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Police said the fire engine had its emergency equipment activated during its response.
