GREENVILLE, Texas — A Greenville firefighter was injured Sunday afternoon while fighting a blaze, KXAS-TV reported.
Officials told NBC5 the firefighter fell through a roof at the Stoneridge Apartments in the 6000 block of Stonewall Street.
One of the apartments was fully involved in the fire and several others were affected.
Firefighters from the Cash and Commerce departments were called in to help.
Police told NBC5 that residents escaped unharmed but several families were left without a home. The American Red Cross was on scene to assist the residents.
Officials have not said what caused the fire.
