EUCLID, Ohio — Firefighters and police officers teamed up to help a deer stuck in a metal fence Thursday, also giving them a chance to test a new piece of equipment.
The deer’s mother watched as the rescuers worked to free the deer from the fence on Beckford Avenue, according to posts on Facebook and Twitter from the fire department. Firefighters used a new saw to cut away at the fence.
Once freed, the deer appeared unharmed as it sprinted away. “All in a day’s work!” the fire department says in its Facebook post.
