SEQUIM, Wash. — An early morning fire in Washington destroyed one ambulance and damaged another.
The cause of the blazes at Olympic Ambulance is unknown, but Kiro 7 reported it happened about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.
After an explosion was reported, an ambulance supervisor went to investigate and saw one vehicle fully engulfed – it spread to a second shortly thereafter. The Clallam County Fire District said in a Facebook post that the fire spread to the building that housed the vehicles and was upgraded to a commercial structure fire.
Damages are estimated at more than $500,000.
