Never forget: Firefighters commemorate 9/11 with tattoos

Firefighters around the world use tattoos to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice

The decision to get a tattoo is different for everyone. Some people get tattoos to wear the name of their loved ones or to show off their favorite sports team.

Although it’s impossible to forget the September 11 attacks, some firefighters chose to use tattoos to remember and commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day.

FireRescue1 asked firefighters to share their 9/11 memorial tattoos. If you have one, please feel free to share it in the comments section below.

Our thoughts remain with the fallen responders’ colleagues, families and friends, as well as those responders who are still fighting health complications from response efforts.
