Today marks the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that occured in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001, and, like every year, fire and EMS agencies around the country are posting tributes to the brothers and sisters they lost on that day, and in the years since.
The posts are a sobering reminder of what the nation faced on that early September morning, and the sacrifices first responders made and continue to make every day.
