Nationwide golf tournaments to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Emmitsburg, Md. — The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is excited to announce our Fifth Annual NFFF Memorial Golf Tournament and another year of regional golf tournaments will be held at 23* locations around the country between June 9 - 13, 2008. These Memorial Golf Tournaments will be held in honor of all firefighters who have died in the line of duty and in support of their families.

The proceeds from these tournaments will help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation continue to develop and sustain programs such as the Taking Care of Our Own® Program, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend and the Everyone Goes Home® Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives Program.

These are just some of the programs the Foundation offers to help support families and the fire service. Last year's tournaments were a huge success and raised over $115,000 to support the Foundation's programs.

For more information about our 23* U.S. regional tournament sites please visit http://golf.firehero.org/. If you would like more information on any of these tournaments please contact the designated contact for that tournament location.

If you would like more information on the Fifth Annual NFFF Memorial Golf Tournament please visit our website at golf.firehero.org or contact Eileen Winston at 301-447-1406 or by email at ewinston@firehero.org.
