Universal Studios Hollywood Honors California Firefighters Throughout June 2008

UNIVERSAL CITY — Universal Studios Hollywood pays tribute to the firefighters who recently helped save the historic Universal studio with a "Salute to Firefighters," offering badged fire department personnel a free One Day General Admission throughout the month of June. Up to three family members or friends accompanying an eligible firefighter will also receive 50% off a One Day General Admission.

To obtain free admission, firefighters may show current photo employee identification at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park box office.

Larry Kurzweil, President and Chief Operating Officer, Universal Studios Hollywood, said: "We are deeply grateful to the selfless firefighters who put their lives on the line to save our historic studio. Through their extraordinary efforts, we were able to resume operations at our theme park and on CityWalk just one day after Sunday's major fire."

The free One Day General Admission is valid throughout June 2008 and cannot be combined with any other offer. Friends and family members must come to the park on the same day as the eligible emergency personnel to receive 50% off One Day General Admission. More information can be obtained by calling 1-800-UNIVERSAL or accessing http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/.

Just one day after the accidental fire broke out, business resumed and guests were welcomed to the theme park and entertainment complex as Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk's employees assumed a "the show must go on" spirit in the face of the temporary setback. All rides, shows and attractions are open and operating normally, including the new and much-acclaimed "The Simpsons Ride," which opened to spectacular reviews just weeks ago and joined "Revenge of the Mummy -- The Ride" and "Jurassic Park -- The Ride" as stand-out Universal Studios Hollywood thrill-ride experiences.

Universal Studios Hollywood (http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/) The Entertainment Capital of L.A., includes a movie-based theme park and Studio Tour, the CityWalk entertainment, shopping and dining complex, the Universal Cinemas and the Gibson Amphitheatre concert and special event venue.
