Portland responds to house fire
Department: Portland Fire and Rescue - [Portland, Oregon]
At approximately 18:04 Friday, a Portland Fire & Rescue engine crew responded to a report of someone in the street with flames on their pants at 1979 SE Ladd Ave.
As the crew arrived, they found a fire in the basement and a burn victim outside the house near the street. Additional fire resources were called to the scene to assist with fire fighting efforts and patient care. Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to other areas.

The burn victim, a middle-age male, was transported to Emanuel Hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
